Classical tabla virtuoso Zakir Hussain returns to Place des Arts, this time accompanied by Debopriya Chatterjee Ranadive (flute) and Sabir Khan (sarangi).

The creativity of his solos, combining audacity and tradition, has elevated him to the rank of the greatest Indian percussionists of our time. The influence of Zakir Hussain – considered one of the main architects of contemporary world music – is undeniable; his many collaborations with John McLaughlin, L. Shankar, George Harrison, Yo-Yo Ma, Joe Henderson and Van Morrison, among others, are proof of this.

His impressive dexterity, masterful improvisational skills and wide-ranging expertise will ensure an unforgettable evening!

Le virtuose du tabla classique, Zakir Hussain, sera de retour à la Place des Arts, accompagné cette fois par Debopriya Chatterjee Ranadive (flute) et Sabir Khan (sarangi).
