Adriana Camacho est contrebassiste, documentariste, improvisatrice et promotrice active de l’improvisation libre et du free jazz sur les scènes mexicaine et internationale. Stefan Christoff est un organisateur social, musicien et présentateur basé à Tiohtià:ke, également connu sous le nom de Montréal. Il a participé à de nombreux efforts visant à établir des liens entre l’activisme populaire et les arts créatifs. Ari Swan est un violoniste, compositeur et éducateur musical qui tente de créer des espaces qui donnent la priorité aux voix BIPOC et Queer, et explore comment l’art peut provoquer une prise de conscience sociale et une guérison sociale. Ce concert est le lancement à Montréal de l’album duo d’Adriana et Stefan, Años y Minutos, publié par Moon Villain Records de Boston. En première partie, Eugénie Jobin (Ambroise) évolue librement et joyeusement entre les domaines de la chanson d’art, du folk, du rock, de la musique expérimentale douce et du jazz. Pour leur prochain album, Eugénie, au voix et au piano, a mis en musique six poèmes de Marie Uguay, créant ainsi leur tout premier cycle de chansons – la première caresse goûte toujours la neige – accompagnée de Frédérique Roy à l’accordéon et au voix, et de Gabriel Drolet à la contrebasse.

Adriana Camacho is a double bassist, documentarian, improviser and active promoter of free improvisation and free jazz on the Mexican and international scenes. Stefan Christoff is a social organizer, musician and presenter based in Tiohtià:ke, also known as Montreal. He has been involved in numerous efforts to link grassroots activism with the creative arts. Ari Swan is a violinist, composer and music educator who attempts to create spaces that prioritize BIPOC and Queer voices, and explores how art can provoke social awareness and social healing. This concert is the Montreal launch of Adriana and Stefan’s duo album, Años y Minutos, released by Boston’s Moon Villain Records. Opening the show, Eugénie Jobin (Ambroise) moves freely and joyfully between the realms of art song, folk, rock, soft experimental music and jazz. For their next album, Eugénie, on voice and piano, has set six poems by Marie Uguay to music, creating their very first song cycle – la première caresse goûte toujours la neige – accompanied by Frédérique Roy on accordion and voice, and Gabriel Drolet on double bass.
