Rickson Makwe (Makwe Bazilepo), né le 4 juillet 1986 en RDC, est un chanteur, auteur-compositeur et claviériste. Non-voyant depuis l’âge de 10 ans à la suite d’une blessure de guerre, il surmonte les défis de la vie avec passion et partage ce zèle à travers sa musique. Après avoir déménagé en Afrique du Sud, il a tourné avec des groupes, participé à des festivals et enregistré avant de s’installer au Canada grâce à l’ONU. Inspiré par le reggae et la rumba, Rickson veut offrir une expérience musicale unique et prouver que les non-voyants peuvent accomplir leurs rêves.

Rickson Makwe (Makwe Bazilepo), born on July 4, 1986, in the DRC, is a singer, songwriter, and keyboardist. Blind since the age of 10 due to a war injury, he has overcome life’s challenges with passion and shares this zeal through his music. After moving to South Africa, he toured with bands, performed at festivals, and recorded before settling in Canada with the help of the UN. Inspired by reggae and rumba, Rickson aims to deliver a unique musical experience and prove that blind people can achieve their dreams.
