Ricky Rickson (Ricky Makwe Bazilepo), born on July 4, 1986 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is a polyglot singer/songwriter and keyboardist fluent in French, Swahili, Lingala, and English. At the age of ten, he lost his sight due to an injury during the war. He seeks to move his audience while challenging stereotypes about the blind in the music industry.
