Following her triumph in 2022, Barbara Hannigan returns to the Maison symphonique in the dual role of singer and conductor. In this unusual concert format, she will present for the first time in North America her stage production of Poulenc’s monodrama La voix humaine, showcasing the full intensity of her dramatic playing. From Richard Strauss, she will conduct Métamorphoses, an introspective work of great expressive power.
Après son triomphe en 2022, Barbara Hannigan retrouve la Maison symphonique dans le double rôle de chanteuse et de cheffe d’orchestre. Dans ce concert au format hors du commun, elle présentera pour la première fois en Amérique du Nord sa production scénique du monodrame de Poulenc La voix humaine qui mettra en valeur toute l’intensité de son jeu dramatique. De Richard Strauss, elle dirigera les Métamorphoses, une œuvre introspective au fort pouvoir expressif.
