Nuits d’Afrique : Diogo Ramos

Lauréat de multiples bourses et distinctions, Diogo Ramos, qui a déjà collaboré avec la star Chico César, est un artiste aux multiples talents, curieux des rythmes dans toute leur diversité. Influencé par le tropicalisme, un mouvement qui célèbre l’universalité de la musique, l’auteur, compositeur, interprète et réalisateur, virtuose de la guitare, est un brillant touche-à-tout. Autant il excelle à adapter avec finesse les chansons de Gilles Vigneault dans un style Bossa nova, autant ses dernières productions sont un mélange éclatant de samba-funk fusionné à l’électro et au hip-hop. Lancé en 2023, son dernier album, “Cabaça” est dans la même veine: “L’album regorge de cuivres étincelants, de chœurs chaleureux, de lignes de basse «groovy». C’est plein de collaborations merveilleuses.” (Radio-Canada, 2023).
