Time for introductions! Montreal audiences finally get to meet our conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin’s American family, the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Renowned for the opulence of its string sections, the “Philadelphia sound” has developed through numerous collaborations with Rachmaninov, whose grandiose and epic Symphony No. 2 will be heard.

More recently, Florence Price has also carved out a special place in the hearts of Philadelphia musicians, who have performed several of her works.
