The apotheosis of our 40th anniversary celebrations, this unique evening brings together on stage the legacy of our founder, cellist and conductor Yuli Turovsky: the musicians of I Musici de Montréal, of course, but also cellists Stéphane Tétreault and Bryan Cheng, who were both students of Yuli. Also on the program: a new work by Quebec composer Denis Gougeon, a long-time associate and friend of the orchestra, and the completion of our complete set of J.S. Bach violin concertos, with three I Musici members as soloists. The grand finale is Beethoven’s Sixth Symphony, known as Pastorale, in an arrangement for solo string quartet and string orchestra by Jean-François Rivest.
