The International Jazz Festival presents Orchestre National de Jazz de Montréal : Equal = Orchestra

Sun 03 Jul 2022 • 08:00 pm Jazz
Scène Rio Tinto - Montréal Gratuit
· by Rédaction PAN M 360

Under the auspices of Orchestre national of jazz de Montréal, conductor and saxophonist Christine Jensen has put together an ensemble that sounds and feels like what we see and hear when we walk the streets where we live.

She will present an evening of music based on the concept of an Equal=Orchestra, a musical collaboration of like-minded equity and inclusion musicians from Montreal and Toronto featuring their own musical and artistic voices.

For this concert of musical celebration, the ensemble will present, among others, four movements from the first two albums ofOrchestre national of jazz de Montréal : An intrumental version of Starbright by conductor Christine Jensen, Soon, Vent Solaire and La Vie Commence Ici by pianist Marianne Trudel, and Code Breaking by guest composer Tara Davidson.
