Originaire de l’écurie Hungry Music aux cotés de Worakls et N’TO, avec qui il partage le goût et la scène de la techno mélodique, Joachim a toujours cultivé un son personnel, hypnotique et racé, très facilement reconnaissable.
The story of NTO is the story of an encounter. That of a kid from the South of France with electronic music and the dancefloor. After a trip to the Sziget Festival at the age of 18, he assiduously frequented La Villa Rouge and Bar Live, two legendary clubs in Montpellier. German minimal techno was booming, and Anthony Favier spent his nights listening to Stephan Bodzin, James Holden and the debut of Paul Kalkbrenner: “the biggest crush of my life”. The evocative power of melodies, the power of the kick and the unifying atmosphere of the dancefloor: a triptych that drove him frantically towards production without going through the DJ stage.
L’histoire de NTO c’est celle d’une rencontre. Celle d’un gamin du Sud de la France avec la musique électronique et le dancefloor. Après une virée au Sziget Festival à 18 ans, il fréquente assidûment La Villa Rouge et le Bar Live, deux clubs mythiques de Montpellier. La techno minimale allemande est en plein essor et Anthony Favier passe ses nuits à écouter Stephan Bodzin, James Holden ou les débuts de Paul Kalkbrenner : “le plus gros coup de cœur de ma vie”. Le pouvoir évocateur des mélodies, la puissance du kick, l’ambiance fédératrice du dancefloor : un triptyque qui va le pousser frénétiquement vers la production sans passer par la case DJ.
