Hommage à la chanson libanaise au Festival Orientalys

Pour cette soirée placée sous le ciel des légendes, un soleil inespéré, sorti de l’âge d’or passé du Liban, viendra poindre dans la nuit d’Orientalys, éclairant d’une joie insolente et réconfortante la Scène TD!

La Diva Sabah, pionnière du zajal moderne et chantre du mawal, le répertoire du fabuleux Melhem Barakat, interprète des opérettes des frères Rahbani ainsi que de chansons exaltantes, empreintes de tarab, mais aussi l’immortel Wadi el-Safi et ses chansons folkloriques libanaises, seront célébrés avec une fervente dévotion. Les chansons les plus emblématiques de la « belle époque » et de la « joie levantine » rehaussent ainsi le cœur de tous les nostalgiques et des festivaliers avides de musique radieuse.

Les chanteurs montréalais Nidal Ibourk, Chadi Naddaf et Rami Badr feront revivre avec jubilation ces icônes incontestables de la musique arabe sous la direction de Rabih Yazbeck. Ensemble, ils porteront aux étoiles les plus belles perles d’un Liban éternel , dans une décharge insouciante et libératrice de félicité.

For this evening placed under the canopy of legends, an unexpected sun, emerging from the past golden age of Lebanon, will come to dawn in the night of Orientalys, lighting up the TD Stage with an insolent and comforting joy!

Diva Sabah, pioneer of modern zajal and cantor of mawal, the repertoire of the fabulous Melhem Barakat, performs operettas by the Rahbani brothers as well as exhilarating songs, imprinted with tarab, but also the immortal Wadi el-Safi and its Lebanese folk songs , will be celebrated with fervent devotion. The most emblematic songs of the “Belle Epoque” and “Levantine joy” will thus lift the hearts of all nostalgics and festival-goers eager for radiant music.

Montreal singers Nidal Ibourk, Chadi Naddaf and Rami Badr will jubilantly bring these indisputable icons of Arabic music to life under the direction of Rabih Yazbeck. Together, they will carry the most beautiful pearls of an eternal Lebanon to the stars, in a carefree and liberating discharge of bliss.
