His nuanced compositions draw inspiration from many musical avenues and feature his inimitable alto saxophone playing. SÉLÉBÉYONE is one of his most ambitious syntheses, a genre-hybridizing laboratory for two radically complementary voices in contemporary rap: HPRIZM (Antipop Consortium’s HIGH PRIEST), who speaks English, and Senegalese GASTON BANDIMIC, who speaks Wolof. Other essential ingredients in the recipe are drummer DAMION REID, post-J Dilla groove maestro, and French saxophonist MACIEK LASSERRE.
