Formation célébrée de par le monde pour l’intelligence révélatrice de ses interprétations depuis près de trois décennies, le Quatuor Diotima fait ses débuts au Québec cet été dans un programme mariant les couleurs subtiles de Ravel à la sensualité rêche de Szymanowski, tout en évoquant le Nouveau Monde et l’exil américain de Korngold, dont l’ultime quatuor voit le jour en Californie à la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale.
A group celebrated the world over for the revealing intelligence of its interpretations over nearly three decades, the Quatuor Diotima makes its Quebec debut this summer with a program combining the subtle colors of Ravel with the rough sensuality of Szymanowski, while evoking the New World and the American exile of Korngold, whose final quartet was born in California at the end of the Second World War.
