Gonima est le pseudonyme d’Evan Magoni (il/lui), un artiste audiovisuel basé à Montréal qui explore l’esthétique glitch, les rythmes complexes, les mélodies lumineuses et les atmosphères ambiantes. Il utilise l’édition audio de manière pointilliste ainsi que des processus musicaux génératifs pour créer des textures numériques détaillées, une tonalité éthérée et des arrangements musicaux de type collage, le tout avec une dimension émotionnelle.

gonima is an alias of Evan Magoni (he/him), a Montreal-based audiovisual artist exploring glitch aesthetics, complex rhythms, bright melodies, and ambient atmospheres. He employs pointillist audio editing, live playing, and generative musical processes to create detailed digital textures, ethereal tonality, and collage-like musical arrangements with an emotive core.

Olivia Block 

Olivia Block est une artiste médiatique et compositrice. Sa pratique comprend des performances live, des enregistrements, des installations audiovisuelles, de la conception sonore et elle compose aussi de la musique de chambre et des pices pour orchestre.

Olivia Block is a media artist and composer. Currently, her practice includes live performance, recordings, audio-visual installations, sound design, and scores for orchestra and chamber music concerts.

Aho Ssan

Aho Ssan est le nom d’artiste de Niamké Désiré, qui est basé à Paris. Après des études de graphisme et de cinéma, il commence à composer de la musique électronique et à créer ses propres instruments numériques.

Peu de temps après, il remporte le prix de la télévision de la Fondation France pour la bande originale du film Dissimulée d’Ingha Mago (2015) et travaille sur plusieurs projets liés à l’Ircam/GRM en France.

Son premier album, «Simulacrum», est sorti le 7 février 2020 via Subtext Recordings. Basé sur la pensée de Jean Baudrillard, il navigue à travers la présentation de l’inclusivité et de l’égalité dans la société par rapport à sa propre expérience de grandir noir en France. Aho Ssan a fait ses débuts avec «Simulacrum» à Berlin Atonal 2019.

Aho Ssan is the artist name of Paris based Niamké Désiré. After studying graphic design and cinema, he began to compose electronic music and create his own digital instruments. Shortly thereafter he went on to win the Foundation France television prize for his soundtrack to the film of Ingha Mago in 2015 and has worked on several projects related to IRCAM/GRM inFrance. His debut LP «Simulacrum» was released on the 7th of February 2020 via Subtext Recordings.Based on the concept of Jean Baudrillard, it navigates through society’s presentation of inclusivity and equality against my own experience of growing up black in France. Aho Ssan debuted “Simulacrum” at Berlin Atonal 2019.
