FIMAV: Amma Ateria – « Concussssion »

Fri 17 May 2024 • 05:00 pm Electronic
Centre des Congrès - Victoriaville 28$
· by Rédaction PAN M 360

Composer-electronica AMMA ATERIA arrives from the San Francisco area to present “CONCUSSSSION”, an evolutionary study born of an impact to the skull (frontal and orbital bones). In the course of his recovery since June 2021, his sound movements have continued a process of change and development, using low-frequency binaural rhythms, brainwave entrainment, isosonic curves and temporal alterations. The project takes the form of sound compositions, recordings, visual scores, concerts and algorithmic projections, documenting the variation in neurological responses to delta, theta, alpha, beta and gamma waves. “SSSS” symbolizes the periods of auditory disorientation experienced by the artist, like moments of prolonged extension of the whistling frequencies of the human voice. The compositions translate these experiences of immobility, unconsciousness and auditory hallucinations, transfigured into moments of levitation, transformation and neurogenesis.
