La première partie, Bellegarde, son trio et invités présentent les pièces qui les inspirent. Le jam prend tout son envol dans la deuxième partie et se poursuit tard dans la nuit.
Alex Bellegarde crée une musique énergique aux influences multiples et ses projets englobent des collaborations dans le jazz, musiques latines et pluridisciplinaires. Lauréat du Grand Prix de Jazz au 26e édition du Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, il compte plusieurs albums à son actif : Floating, Caminando, Quintet et Quartet « Live » et de nombreuses participations d’enregistrements avec d’autres artistes. Tenace et dévoué au jazz, il jouit de toute une réputation à la tête de son jam session hebdomadaire qui attire de nombreux artistes d’ici et d’ailleurs en quête d’étincelles..

Energetic player, composer and Grand Jazz Award winner at the Montreal Jazz Festival, 26th ed, Alex Bellegarde creates music drawn from a wealth of sources. He heads a number of formations and participates in a range of projects: jazz, Latin music and multidisciplinary (theatre, film, poetry and dance to multimedia). With several albums to his credit: Floating, Caminando, Quintet and Quartet « Live , he is also guest contributor to a wide array of artists’ recordings and performs regularly throughout Canada and internationally (Europe, Mexico, U.S). A well known figure on Montreal’s effervescent jazz scene, he hosts a dynamic, weekly jam session that draws promising talents and renowned jazz musicians from near and afar.
