C’est dans cet univers que nous amène Mestizo, celui de la culture populaire andine, héritière des musiques précolombiennes festives. Inspiré par des groupes néo-folkloriques comme Los Kjarkas ou Illapu, Mestizo marie habilement les instruments à vent et à cordes typiques qui soutiennent les irrésistibles rythmes traditionnels comme les Saya, Huayno, Sanjuanito, Tinku, Cueca, Carnavalito ou Trote.
