Ensemble Éclat, a group of fifteen up-and-coming Montreal musicians, is dedicated to programming immersive events, promoting the work of young composers, and advancing and integrating new technologies into the arts and music. It is supported by the Pôle Relève du Vivier, which helps emerging new music artists incubate, disseminate and circulate their artistic projects and works throughout Quebec.

Milk & Bone au Beanfield

Derrière les harmonies vocales envoûtantes et les textes sincères et déchirants du duo électro-pop Milk & Bone se cache le riche univers des musiciennes Laurence Lafond-Beaulne et Camille Poliquin (KROY). Avec la parution des albums Little Mourning (2015) et Deception Bay (2018) et de l’EP DIVE (2019), le duo a accumulé plus de 75 millions de streams et a réalisé des tournées au Canada, en Europe et aux États-Unis. En plus de leurs activités sous la bannière Milk & Bone, le duo a conçu la musique pour deux spectacles du Cirque du Soleil et plusieurs longs métrages, dont King Dave de Podz qui lui a valu une nomination aux Canadian Screen Awards 2017. Au fil des ans, Milk & Bone a remporté un prix Juno dans la catégorie Album électronique de l’année (2019), s’est retrouvé deux fois en lice pour le Prix Polaris (2015 et 2018) et a été nommé dans la catégorie Révélation de l’année (Breakthrough Group of the Year) aux gala des prix Juno en 2016. Taverne Tour : Élégie et Grand Eugène au Chez Baptiste

Formé au milieu des années 2010, Élégie est un des secrets les moins bien gardés de Québec. Le groupe mené par Lawrence Villeneuve (guitare, voix), Alex Corriveau (basse) et Maxence Girard (guitare, claviers) a séduit les mélomanes de la Vieille Capitale avec son attitude irrévérencieuse et faussement brouillonne, mais surtout ses compositions new punk/post wave tout bonnement irrésistibles.

Formed in the mid-2010s, Élégie is one of Quebec City’s worst-kept secrets. Grand Eugène est un groupe de musique Indie Rock aux sonorités Dream Pop basé à Montréal. C’est sur un coin de table d’un appartement sur Commercial Street à Vancouver que naissent les premières chansons du groupe. Les démos sont rapidement enregistrés avec un micro d’ordinateur; ils font l’aller-retour par e-mail vers Montréal, laissant audibles les échanges déformés autant par les rocheuses que par les vagues du pacifique. Le groupe est composé de Jeremy Lachance à la guitare et à la composition, Melyssa Lemieux au chant, Olivier Tanguay à la batterie, Nassim Dib-Mudie aux claviers et Greg Tremblay-Meadors à la basse.

Grand Eugène is an Indie Rock band with Dream Pop sounds based in Montreal. It was on the corner of a table in an apartment on Commercial Street in Vancouver that the band’s first songs were born. Demos were quickly recorded with a computer microphone; they made the round trip by e-mail to Montreal, leaving audible the exchanges distorted as much by the Rockies as by the waves of the pacific. The band is made up of Jeremy Lachance on guitar and composition, Melyssa Lemieux on vocals, Olivier Tanguay on drums, Nassim Dib-Mudie on keyboards and Greg Tremblay-Meadors on bass.

Igloofest : Eric Prydz, Cristoph et Ostrich sur la Scène Sapporo

Eric Prydz est actuellement sur une lancée impressionnante, sans aucun doute en tête de file. Ses labels Mouseville, Pryda et Pryda Friends regorgent de succès souterrains en club. Eric est désormais à la tête de trois labels très respectés dont les sorties sont très demandées, se vendant régulièrement en quantités considérables de vinyles, ce qui est vraiment incroyable dans le contexte actuel du marché. Les labels sont sans doute les empreintes les plus réussies et novatrices actuellement existantes. Chaque label a été strictement développé pour offrir à Eric une plateforme pour sortir ses propres productions sans interférence extérieure, simplement sa musique selon ses propres termes. Il était important pour Eric de prendre du recul après ses succès précédents et de sortir de la musique sans contraintes de calendrier et de pression. Il voulait finalement contrôler son image et son destin, quelque chose d’extrêmement important pour lui et sa carrière. L’éthique derrière les labels était véritablement underground, avec presque aucune promotion, aucune intrusion de la presse et une véritable identité de label/design… une formule qui s’est révélée massivement réussie!

Eric Prydz is currently on an impressive roll, undoubtedly leading the way. His Mouseville, Pryda and Pryda Friends labels are brimming with underground club hits. Eric is now at the helm of three highly respected labels whose releases are in great demand, regularly selling considerable quantities of vinyl, which is truly incredible in the current market context. The labels are arguably the most successful and innovative imprints currently in existence. Each label was strictly developed to offer Eric a platform to release his own productions without outside interference, simply his music on his own terms. It was important for Eric to step back after his previous successes and release music without the constraints of schedules and pressure. He wanted to finally control his own image and destiny, something that was extremely important to him and his career. The ethos behind the labels was truly underground, with almost no promotion, no press intrusion and a true label/design identity… a formula that proved massively successful!

Story of the Year est un groupe de rock alternatif, post-hardcore et parfois de post-grunge, formé en 1995 à St. Louis dans le Missouri. Le groupe s’appelait originellement Big Blue Monkey. Il change de nom en Story of the Year en 2002 après avoir commercialisé leur EP intitulé Story of the Year sur le label indépendant Criterion Records, et après avoir réalisé qu’un groupe de blues utilisait déjà le nom de Big Blue Monkey. Le 8 mars 2013, le groupe se reforme officiellement.

Story of the Year is an alternative rock, post-hardcore and sometimes post-grunge band formed in 1995 in St. Louis, Missouri. The band’s original name was Big Blue Monkey. It changed its name to Story of the Year in 2002 after releasing their EP Story of the Year on independent label Criterion Records, and realizing that a blues band was already using the Big Blue Monkey name. On March 8, 2013, the band officially reformed.

Quatuor Molinari présente « Deux » au Conservatoire de Montréal

Deux compositeurs, deux quatuors de chacun. Plongez dans les univers des compositeurs Dimitri Chostakovitch et John Rea avec les musiciens du Quatuor Molinari.

Le compositeur montréalais a composé Objets perdus pour le Quatuor Arditti en 1992 et pour souligner ses 80 ans, le Molinari lui a commandé un nouveau quatuor, Objets perçus, qu’il créera lors de ce concert.

Le cycle des 15 quatuors de Chostakovitch est d’une grande richesse et les musiciens en ont choisi deux qui sont rarement joués pour ce concert.

Two composers, two quartets of each. Immerse yourself in the worlds of composers Dmitri Shostakovich and John Rea with the musicians of the Molinari Quartet.

The Montreal composer composed Objets perdus for the Arditti Quartet in 1992, and to mark his 80th birthday, the Molinari has commissioned a new quartet, Objets perçus, which he will premiere at this concert.

Shostakovich’s cycle of 15 quartets is a rich one, and the musicians have chosen two that are rarely performed for this concert.
