Before becoming the pop star we know today, Charli XCX started out by roaming the underground scene in East London to make a name for herself. And it didn’t take long. Following a few excellent mixtapes and EPs, she launched her first LP in 2013. In its emo/darkwave approach, it’s a success, and all the more impressive given her young age at the time of its creation. Twelve tracks that are both dark and tangy, worth listening to over and over again.
