If Tame Impala decided to jam with Khurangbin and the Justice electro duo was at the recording booth, it would probably sound something like Marrow Groves’ “Amethyst Dreams,” a grooving psychedelic odyssey that will have your feet tapping and head bobbing.
The Columbus self-produced project features wet and bright guitar work, a moving bass line, shimmery synths, and bombastic drums, under a haze of shifting vocal sounds. The single comes from an EP of the same name and we recommend it to anyone remotely interested in the genre “psych.”
