Irina Krasnyanskaya is a highly sought-after pianist on the Quebec scene, equally at home in traditional classical concert settings, musical theater, artistic direction and avant-garde music. Irina Krasnyanskaya graduated with honors from Moscow’s renowned Tchaikovsky Conservatory, and holds a doctorate in performance from the Université de Montréal. She has won several prizes in international competitions and has performed in recital in over ten different countries. Irina is a member of several chamber music ensembles, including the Montréal Piano Duo, which focuses on repertoire for four hands and two pianos. She has been artistic director of the festival Les Printemps slaves since 2013 and artistic director of Pro Musica since 2018. – biography provided by the artist on the Pro Musica website
