French-language poetry set to a cold and minimal synthetic music, now that’s a happy combination for experienced music lovers, served here by the talented duo from France, Peine Perdue. The songs “Aleister” and “Chic Final – Nocturne”, in particular, are excellent examples of the level of quality achieved by Peine Perdue’s artistic direction. The lyrics are to revel in, delivered as they are in Coco Gallo’s soft, clear voice, accompanied by Stephane Argillet’s sinuous and capricious melodies.
