Esse Ran – Off Program

· by John Buck

Primordial strings herald the onset of tireless drum grooves in this techno record of grand design. Front and centre kick, fuzzy with saturation, bumps and thrums through the first drop. Waxy samples in the snare and hi hat round the corners of bleeding-edge synths. Each arrangement takes the time necessary to prolong the hypnosis. We march through a series of fist pumpers leading to the dominant force of “Human Error.” A synth bass line here is some future child of guitar and tom. If you set the reverb just right… Recollection is just the thing for my wits with a beat that never drops. You have to earn your risks on the dance floor.
