He reveals his full spectrum of sounds on his debut album, Quand je pleure, je suis content, navigating between ambitious and intimate, tender and passionate. Velours Velours sings his uninhibited pop with power and sincerity, sometimes tinged with retro accents or burning with youthful energy. Winner of a SOCAN Foundation Award for Young Canadian Songwriters in 2022, named an Artist to Watch by Radio-Canada in 2023, and nominated for a GAMIQ Award for his first album, as well as for an ADISQ Award in 2025 for Revelation of the Year, Velours Velours is part of the new wave of Quebec’s Francophone music scene.
