One of the best bands to emerge from the West Coast new wave/power pop boom of the late ’70s, Paul Collins’ Beat (aka the Beat) fused tough but catchy songs with vigorous, upbeat performances and rock-solid guitar work. Collins was one of the pioneering figures on the Los Angeles scene at the dawn of punk as a member of the influential pop band The Nerves, and he went on to front the Beat, who released a cult debut album in 1979. Collins led the band through the 2000s, with an ever-changing line-up.

Dangereens is the most elegantly decadent rock n’ roll unit of the 21st century. Their sound and aesthetic combine touches of 70s junkshop glam with sleazy, primal 50s rock n’ roll. Known locally as one of Montreal’s finest toe taping act, theses cats are guaranteed to make you scream and shout while wearing your finest glitter and sequin blouse!
