Nicole Rampersaud est une trompettiste, compositrice et improvisatrice recherchée, connue pour sa voix unique qui fusionne diverses pratiques et traditions musicales. En solo, elle déconstruit les possibilités sonores de la trompette pour créer des structures convaincantes qui touchent le public. Elle est accompagnée d’Émilie Fortin, une passionnée de trompette qui a participé à la création de plus d’une cinquantaine d’œuvres, cherchant constamment à enrichir le répertoire de la trompette. Elle est également directrice artistique du collectif de solistes Bakarlari, qui se consacre à la musique solo contemporaine et créative, et membre de l’ensemble torontois Freesound et du duo de mimes sonores improvisés ék, avec le tromboniste Kalun Leung. Rachel Therrien est trompettiste, bugleuse, compositrice et productrice de musique qui travaille entre New York et Montréal. Elle est considérée comme l’une des musiciennes de jazz les plus prometteuses de sa génération (Downbeat, All About Jazz, Radio-Canada). Reconnue pour sa touche personnelle et ses nombreuses influences du jazz traditionnel, de la musique afro-latine et de la musique du monde, Rachel jouit d’une réputation de classe mondiale, de polyvalence et d’innovation.

Nicole Rampersaud is a sought-after trumpet player, composer, and improviser known for her unique voice that merges various musical practices and traditions. Her solo performances deconstruct the trumpet’s sonic possibilities, resulting in compelling structures that connect with audiences—joined by local prolific trumpet aficionado Émilie Fortin, who has participated in creating over fifty works, constantly seeking to enrich the trumpet repertoire. She is also the artistic director of the soloist collective Bakarlari, dedicated to contemporary and creative solo music, and a member of the Toronto-based ensemble Freesound and the improvised sound mime duo ék, with trombonist Kalun Leung. Rachel Therrien is a trumpet and flugelhorn player, composer and music producer working between New York City and Montreal. She is considered one of the most promising jazz musicians of her generation (Downbeat, All About Jazz, Radio-Canada). Recognized for her personal touch and her many influences of traditional jazz, afro-latin and global music, Rachel has a world class reputation, versatile and innovator.
