Natif de Rimouski, Claude Arnold Thibault (C.A.T.) est un musicien accompli. Bassiste-chanteur dans divers groupes musicaux, il finit par délaisser la basse pour se consacrer entièrement à la voix dont il découvre les possibilités en tant qu’instrument de musique à l’écoute de Bobby McFerrin. Passionné de jazz vocal, il travaille l’improvisation dans l’exécution de classiques du répertoire, inspiré par les improvisations aussi riches que simples de Chet Baker. Le scat devient sa spécialité, Scat C.A.T. son nom d’artiste. Sa voix est l’un des instruments du groupe au même titre que le saxophone ou la trompette. Il se faufile à travers les accords pour dialoguer avec les autres musiciens, se permettant des solos, tout comme eux. À l’automne 2022, l’artiste authentique et chaleureux lance son premier album entouré de musiciens jazz de haut calibre. Vodova Day est disponible sur toutes les plateformes.

Born in Rimouski, Claude Arnold Thibault (C.A.T.) is an accomplished musician. Bass player and vocalist in various musical groups, he eventually abandoned the bass to devote himself entirely to the the voice, whose possibilities as a musical instrument he discovered while listening to Bobby McFerrin. Passionate about vocal jazz, he honed his improvisation skills by performing jazz standards, inspired by Chet Baker’s simple although extremely rich improvisations. Scat became his specialty, Scat C.A.T. his artist name. His voice is one of the instruments in the band in the same way as a saxophone or a trumpet. He weaves in and out of chords to interact with the other musicians. allowing himself to perform solos, just like them. In the fall 2022, the authentic and warm artist launched his first album, accompanied by high-caliber jazz musicians. Vodova Day is available on all platforms.
