ROLE MODEL est le nom de scène de Tucker Pillsbury, un chanteur et compositeur dont le traitement des émotions complexes contraste avec ses voix mesurées et sa préférence pour une pop décontractée, souvent agrémentée de rythmes acoustiques. Moins d’un an après avoir auto-édité son premier EP, il signe un contrat avec Interscope grâce à Benny Blanco et son label Mad Love. Son affiliation avec un label majeur a donné naissance aux EPs Oh, How Perfect (2019) et Our Little Angel (2020), ainsi qu’à son premier album complet, Rx (2022), marqué par une touche amoureuse. Après une paire de singles indépendants, il a sorti un nouvel album, Kansas Anymore, en 2024.
ROLE MODEL is the alias of Tucker Pillsbury, a singer/songwriter whose processing of complex emotions is belied by his restrained vocals and preference for easygoing and often strummy pop. Within a year of self-releasing his first EP, he landed a deal with Interscope through Benny Blanco’s Mad Love. His major-label affiliation has yielded the EPs Oh, How Perfect (2019) and Our Little Angel (2020), as well as his love-struck first proper album, Rx (2022). After a pair of stand-alone singles, he issued a follow-up album, Kansas Anymore, in 2024.
