Peu d’œuvres du répertoire offrent l’émotion émouvante de l’opéra et le frisson d’une écriture symphonique spectaculaire combinée à des moments de virtuosité en solo. Le Requiem de Verdi évoque à la fois une tristesse profonde et un sentiment de drame apocalyptique.
Pour l’occasion, la soprano Aline Kutan, la mezzo-soprano Rose Naggar-Tremblay, le ténor Adam Luther et le baryton-basse Vartan Gabrielian uniront leurs voix à celles de 100 choristes, accompagnés de 70 musiciens sur scène, sous la direction de Francis Choiniere.
