Rémi-Jean LeBlanc habite Montréal et participe activement à la scène de musique canadienne depuis 2005 en faisant des collaborations avec des musiciens comme Yannick Rieu, Jean-Michel Pilc, Marianne Trudel, Steve Amirault, Carol Welsman, and Elizabeth Shepherd. Les tournées canadiennes et internationales sont fréquentes depuis une dizaine d’années notamment en Europe, en Chine, au Japon, au Mexique et aux États-Unis en plus de se produire régulièrement à Montréal avec des musiciens locaux et des artistes internationaux de passage au Québec tels David Binney, Seamus Blake, Jeff Ballard, Greg Osby, Terri Lyne Carrington, Ari Hoenig, Ben Wendel et Billy Hart.RJ a lancé son 3e album en tant que leader et compositeur en 2018, Déductions. L’album met en vedette le guitariste américain Nir Felder, le pianiste cubain d’adoption montréalaise Rafael Zaldivar et le batteur incomparable Sam Joly et livre une interprétation énergique et introspective d’un jazz moderne fortement infusé de rock actuel.

Montreal-based Rémi-Jean LeBlanc has been active on the Canadian music scene since 2005 and has collaborated with an array of musicians in Montreal and in Canada including Yannick Rieu, Jean-Michel Pilc, Marianne Trudel, Steve Amirault, Carol Welsman, and Elizabeth Shepherd. RJ has also toured with different projects in Europe, China, Japan, Mexico, the US, and Canada and has performed with international artists passing through Montreal such as David Binney, Seamus Blake, Greg Osby, Terri Lyne Carrington, Jeff Ballard, Ari Hoenig, Ben Wendel, and Billy Hart. He has put out a third album as a leader in 2018 called Déductions which features NYC guitarist Nir Felder, cuban pianist Rafael Zaldivar, Montreal-native Sam Joly on drums and offers an energetic and introspective take on rock-infused jazz.
