Présence autochtone : Q052 à la Place des Festivals

Thu 06 Aug 2026 • 09:30 pm Grunge / Indigenous peoples / rap
Place des Festivals - Montréal Gratuit
· by Rédaction PAN M 360

No Justice, No Peace.

Q052 is a Mi’gmaq rapper and activist from Gesgapegiag in the Gaspésie. His powerful music blends old-school hip-hop, alternative rock, industrial punk and grunge, in a raw, free-spirited and socially conscious style. Winner of the Best Male Hip-Hop Artist award at the International Indigenous Hip Hop Awards (2023), he stands out for the power of his lyrics and his activism. With over 159,000 streams and a rich discography (5 albums, 1 EP, 9 singles), including Rez Life (2018), Qama’si (2019), and two landmark albums in 2022 (The Storm and The Calm). In October 2025, Q052 released Thunder Child. A true sonic manifesto that blurs genre boundaries and asserts a resolutely free voice. This opus fuses old-school hip-hop with punk textures and sharp political lyrics. Gritty, rebellious and fiercely independent, Thunder Child isn’t just an album, it’s a sound explosion! Q052 thrives both on stage (FEQ, Innu Nikamu, FME, OFF Québec, etc.) as in frontline activism for Indigenous land, education, justice for Indigenous women and the sovereignty of First Nations. Q stands for Quentin. 052 is his reserve’s government number. No Justice, No Peace.
