Sheenah Ko présente en première son nouvel album et concert au Festival La Noce. La claviériste de Besnard Lakes, Blaze Velluto Collection, Antoine Corriveau, dévoile son troisième album auto-produit, “Transformation”, qui sortira en vinyle en septembre 2024. Cette fois, elle s’associe à Félix Petit, producteur d’Hubert Lenoir et Les Louanges, pour apporter la touche finale aux enregistrements. L’album est une prouesse d’écriture entièrement bilingue (français/anglais), explorant la musique pop électronique entre trance et extase, avec des influences des années 90 britanniques, ainsi que de Björk, PJ Harvey et Radiohead.
Les spectacles live de Ko et son groupe offrent une expérience lumineuse de pop psychédélique et vaporeuse, naviguant parfois vers la danse extatique, imprégnée d’un esprit jazz propice à l’improvisation. Ces virtuoses transportent le public et les artistes dans une symbiose envoûtante, partageant un moment festif incandescent, où sourires, applaudissements et danse se fondent dans un univers unique et renversant. Un rendez-vous pour les amoureux de la musique dansante et inspirante.

Sheenah Ko is premiering her brand new album at POP Montreal. As the keyboardist for The Besnard Lakes and Blaze Velluto Collection, she unveils her third self-produced album, “Transformation,” set to release on vinyl in September 2024. This time, she has joined forces with Félix Petit, known for his work with Hubert Lenoir and Les Louanges, to add the final touches to the recordings. The album is completely bilingual (French/English) and delves deep into the realms of electronic pop music, oscillating between trance and ecstasy, with hints of Ko’s influences, including the British electronic scene of the 90s, Björk, PJ Harvey, and Radiohead.
Ko’s live show offers a luminous experience of psychedelic and ethereal pop, at times venturing into ecstatic dance, infused with a jazz spirit that encourages improvisation. These virtuosos transport both the audience and themselves into a captivating symbiosis, sharing an incandescent festive moment, where smiles, applause, and dancing seamlessly merge into a unique and energetic universe.
