Billianne a captivé Internet en 2021 lorsque son adaptation de « The Best » de Tina Turner est devenue virale sur TikTok, atteignant plus de 2 millions de vues et suscitant une vague de viralité qui a redéfini sa vie. Forte d’une base de fans naturelle grâce aux éloges de certaines de ses idoles (Taylor Swift, The Lumineers, Joe Jonas, Ryan Reynolds, P!nk et Michael Bublé), Billianne a suivi ces encouragements et s’est lancée dans la création musicale.
Son premier EP, The Things We Talk About (2023), reflétait ses goûts et révélait ses idées, lui valant rapidement le titre de « prochaine grande voix de la musique » décerné par le Toronto Star. En préparation de son premier album, Billianne a présenté son morceau sincère et fantaisiste « Daydream » (avril 2024) en direct dans l’émission TODAY de NBC et est apparue sur Q de CBC pour en discuter avec Tom Power. Son prochain single « Crush » (août 2024) a percé le Top 10 des radios canadiennes Top 40.
