OSL : Découverte – Bryan Cheng joue Jaëll

Retour à l’OSL du talentueux chef lavallois Andrei Feher pour diriger un concert aux élans romantiques avec l’Ouverture de l’opéra Genoveva, une des plus belles pages symphoniques écrites par Schumann suivie par le Concerto pour violoncelle de la pianiste et compositrice française Marie Jaëll, récemment découvert et interprété par l’étonnant Bryan Cheng. En seconde partie, l’OSL vous offre la Première symphonie de Brahms, chef d’œuvre de la musique orchestrale dans la plus pure tradition viennoise, accueillie par certains comme la Dixième de Beethoven.

The talented Laval-born conductor Andrei Feher returns to the OSL to lead a concert with romantic undertones. The program opens with the Overture to the opera Genoveva, one of Schumann’s finest symphonic works, followed by the Cello Concerto by French pianist and composer Marie Jaëll, a recently rediscovered piece performed by the remarkable Bryan Cheng. In the second half, the OSL presents Brahms’ First Symphony, a masterpiece of orchestral music in the purest Viennese tradition, hailed by some as Beethoven’s Tenth.
