Naxx Bitota at Festival Nuits d’Afrique

Sun 24 Jul 2022 • 07:00 pm Rumba

“From the Congo to Canada via Belgium, this was the destiny of the astonishing Naxx Bitota, an artist who uses her music to convey a message of openness to others.” (TV5, 2022). Expressing a full range of moods, from the most festive to the most melancholic, her moving voice resonates and touches a chord. It’s the type of voice that can punctuate life’s important moments. Her stage presence is also amazing. The cheerful Naxx Bitota embodies the strength and splendour of the Congolese woman. Her sebene style rumba, with its extended guitar improvisations, is always flirting with soukous. Naxx Bitota incorporates her personal touch into a modern Afropop, making her sound absolutely irresistible. We can’t wait for her first album, Kuetu, to be released this summer.
