Véritable immersion dans les sonorités plus profondes et hypnotiques de la techno, la soirée inaugurale de la série Play explore le monde souterrain de l’écoute infrabasses. Play invite à la découverte d’artistes bien connus de MUTEK qui présenteront pour la plupart des projets en première mondiale ou Nord-Américaine.

A true immersion into the deeper and more hypnotic sounds of techno, the inaugural evening of the Play series explores the underground world of infrabass listening. Play invites the discovery of well-known MUTEK artists, most of whom will present world or North American premiere projects.

Automatisme & Marilou Lyonnais Archambault

Chloe Alexandra Thompson & aesthetic.Stalemate

Cette année à MUTEK, le duo Chloe Alexandra Thompson et Matthew Edwards (aesthetic.stalemate) nous présente Flux Emanation, une œuvre audiovisuelle combinant des enregistrements de terrain traités en direct, des voix, un design spatial immersif et des fréquences sub-basses intenses sur fond d’architecture visuelle transformatrice. 

This year at MUTEK, the duo composed of Chloe Alexandra Thompson et Matthew Edwards (aesthetic.stalemate) will present Flux Emanation, an audiovisual work combining live field recordings, voices, immersive spatial design and intense sub-bass frequencies against a backdrop of transformative visual architecture. 

Nik Colk Void 

Musicienne électronique et artiste chevronnée avec une réputation de poids en matière de collaboration et d’adaptation expérimentale, l‘expression musicale de Nik Colk Void émane de ses rencontres atypiques avec ses outils, qu’ils soient analogues ou numériques. 

A seasoned electronic musician and artist with a vast reputation in experimental shapeshifting and collaboration, Nik Colk Void’s musical expressions stem from the unconventional encounters with her tools, both analogue and digital. 

Orphx & Diagraf

Underworld est une collaboration audiovisuelle entre Orphx (les musicien·ne·s Rich Oddie et Christina Sealey) et Diagraf (l’artiste vidéo Patrick Trudeau) qui utilise les infrasons pour explorer les dimensions psychologiques et spirituelles du monde souterrain, symbole du savoir caché et du sublime. 

Underworld is an audio/visual collaboration between Orphx (musicians Rich Oddie and Christina Sealey) and Diagraf (video artist Patrick Trudeau) that utilizes infrasound to explore the psychological and spiritual dimensions of the underworld as a symbol of hidden knowledge and the sublime.

Basé à Berlin, Timothy Gowdy est un producteur électronique et interprète audiovisuel canadien ayant également œuvré en tant que réalisateur et technicien de studio sur des dizaines d’albums.
