Évoquant le son traditionnel coréen du pansori et mélangé à des instruments occidentaux, Second Moon est un groupe dynamique de 7 membres qui fait des vagues depuis sa formation en 2004. Combinant deux genres musicaux très différents, Second Moon apporte un son unique en fusionnant le Pansori coréen, un style de narration musicale, avec la musique irlandaise en incorporant des instruments tels que le sifflet irlandais, le bodhran et la mandoline. Le groupe s’est fait connaître en 2006 lorsqu’il a été sélectionné pour les prix “Rookie of the Year” et “Record of the Year” aux Korean Music Awards. Second Moon a continué à repousser les limites musicales avec son album Pansori Chunhyangga, qui a remporté le prix “Best Jazz & Crossover” aux Korea Music Awards 2017.
Evoking Korean traditional Pansori sound & mixed with Western instrumentals, Second Moon is a dynamic 7-member band that has been making waves since their formation in 2004. Combining two very different genres of music, Second Moon brings a unique sound as they fuse Korean Pansori, a style of musical storytelling, with Irish music by incorporating instruments like Irish whistle, bodhran & mandolin. The band gained recognition in 2006 when they were selected for “Rookie of the Year” & “Record of the Year” at the Korean Music Awards. Second Moon continued to push musical boundaries with their album Pansori Chunhyangga, which won the “Best Jazz & Crossover” award at the 2017 Korea Music Awards.
Mi’gmafrica, c’est la rencontre musicale entre la culture mandingue, avec Sadio Sissokho, émérite griot du Sénégal, à la kora et au chant, et la culture mi’gmaq, avec Valérie Ivy Hamelin, artiste multidisciplinaire de la Nation micmac de Gespeg, au tambour, à la flûte et au chant. Mi’gmafrica is a musical encounter between Mandingo culture, with Senegalese griot Sadio Sissokho on kora and vocals, and Mi’gmaq culture, with multidisciplinary artist Valérie Ivy Hamelin from the Micmac Nation of Gespeg on drums, flute and vocals. Melodies, songs and tributes to the elders combine gently and powerfully to take you to the farthest reaches of human history. Two traditions, two continents, drawing their inspiration and strength from the same sources: the roots of the earth and Creation. They present us with magic and beauty, these revisited songs and compositions.
Formé en 2021 à Montréal, Dumai Dunai a un son éclectique. Avec les grooves profonds du dub et l’énergie du punk rock, ainsi que les styles de chant slaves des chanteurs Natalia Telentso et Eli Camilo, ce groupe a pour mission de vous faire danser. Ce groupe de sept musiciens originaires d’Ukraine, de Bulgarie, du Canada et des États-Unis travaille sur son premier album, dont la sortie est prévue pour 2024.

Bruno Capinan est un auteur-compositeur-interprète canadien qui fusionne l’afro-futurisme, les rythmes inspirés de la bossa-nova et une performance extravagante en tant qu’acte de résistance queer. Originaire de Bahia, au Brésil, Capinan a présenté sa personnalité féroce sur scène à des publics au Japon, en Afrique, en Europe, en Amérique du Sud et aux États-Unis. Reconnu internationalement en 2016, avec des critiques dans les journaux britannique The Guardian et français Libération, et trois nominations pour la prestigieuse APCA (Association des critiques d’art de São Paulo) pour ses albums “Tara Rara” (2022), “Leão Alado Sem Juba” (2020) et “Real” (2019), Capinan est un artiste de premier plan.
Bruno Capinan is a Canadian singer-songwriter who fuses Afro-futurism, bossa-nova inspired rhythms, and an extravagant performance as an act of queer resistance. Originally from Bahia, Brazil, Capinan has brought their fierce stage persona to audiences in Japan, Africa, Europe, South America and the United States. Gaining international recognition in 2016, with reviews in british newspaper The Guardian and France’s Libération, and three nominations for the prestigious APCA (São Paulo Association of Art Critics) for his albums “Tara Rara” (2022), “Leão Alado Sem Juba” (2020) and “Real” (2019).
