Melody Gardot à la Maison Symphonique

Spectacle complet
Mon 03 Jul 2023 • 07:00 pm Jazz
Maison symphonique - Montréal
· by Rédaction PAN M 360

Melody Gardot has come a long way since writing her first EP from a hospital bed, after a hit-and-run accident that nearly cost her her life. Benefitting from the therapeutic properties of music, Gardot has developed a very personal jazz sound that stays close to her emotions.

First compared to Joni Mitchell and Eva Cassidy, Gardot has reinvented herself over the years without losing the sensibility that sealed her success. Her latest album, Entre eux deux, co-written with pianist-composer Philippe Powell, revives the piano and voice format, infusing it with a fresh perspective that is imbued with romantic sensuality.
