Maple Run à la Casa del Popolo

Maple Run, basé au Vermont, a été décrit comme de l’Americana, du roots rock, de l’alt-country, du rock des années 70, du twang, du jam-band, de l’indie, du rétro, du country-folk, du folk-rock, un “soupçon des Allmans” et du cachemire underground, entre autres.

Le groupe s’est formé vers 2019 en tant que collaboration entre Trevor Crist (chant, guitare, piano, orgue) et Nicole Valcour (chant, batterie). Les deux avaient auparavant passé plusieurs années en tant que section rythmique du groupe alt-country Construction Joe. Avec le bassiste John “Spence” Spencer, ils ont commencé à se produire ensemble pour mettre en valeur les compositions de Crist, avec une signature sonore définie par les harmonies tressées de Crist et Valcour. Bill Mullins (Barbacoa, chalumeau) a rejoint le groupe peu de temps après, apportant son style unique et expressif de guitare électrique au mélange.

Vermont based Maple Run Band has been described as Americana, roots rock, alt-country, 70s rock, twang, jam-band, indie, retro, country-folk, folk-rock, “hint of the Allmans”, and paisley underground, among other things.

The band coalesced around 2019 as a collaboration between Trevor Crist (vocals, guitar, piano, organ) and Nicole Valcour (vocals, drums). The two had previously spent several years as the rhythm section of alt-country band Construction Joe. Along with bassist John “Spence” Spencer, they started performing together to showcase Crist’s songwriting, with a sonic signature defined by Crist and Valcour’s braided harmonies. Bill Mullins (Barbacoa, Blowtorch), joined shortly after, bringing his unique and expressive electric guitar stylings to the mix.
