Beethoven’s Poetic Fourth Piano Concerto at the Maison symphonique

Renowned for her rare musicality and refined touch, pianist Maria João Pires joins the OSM in Beethoven’s Concerto^No. 4 , a masterpiece of the repertoire of undeniable originality. This program will mark Schoenberg’s ^150th birthday with two post-Romantic works: Transfigured Night, an eminently lyrical symphonic poem, and Pelléas et Mélisande, a score of impressive sonic density, heightened by strong dramatic tensions.

Célèbre pour sa rare musicalité et son toucher raffiné, la pianiste Maria João Pires retrouve l’OSM dans le Concerto n^o 4 de Beethoven, un chef-d’œuvre du répertoire d’une incontestable originalité. Ce programme soulignera le 150^e anniversaire de Schoenberg avec deux œuvres postromantiques : La nuit transfigurée, un poème symphonique éminemment lyrique, et Pelléas et Mélisande, une partition d’une impressionnante densité sonore, attisée par de fortes tensions dramatiques.
