Pour célébrer la sortie deluxe de son dernier album It’s Lovely To Have You Here, Kim Churchill part sur les routes du Canada pour jouer dans ses petits coins de pays favoris. Figure incontournable de la scène folk/blues australienne et internationale, il continue de toucher les publics du monde entier avec un son acoustique décontractée. Originaire de la ville côtière de Merimbula, en Australie, Kim cumule plus d’une décennie d’expérience dans l’industrie musicale. Il a notamment été couronné Jeune artiste folk national de l’année en Australie et a été nommé aux National Live Music Awards dans la catégorie Roots Act of the Year. Kim sillonne le monde à bord de son (ou ses) van(s), livrant des concerts énergiques et empreints d’émotion, remplis de chansons profondes et réfléchies. Se produisant en mode “one man band”, il électrise les foules avec ses performances entraînantes, mêlant narration touchante, envolées de guitare et harmonica.
Première partie – Mia Kelly
Mia Kelly, jeune artiste folk émergente de Gatineau, brouille les frontières entre récits intimes et fiction en écrivant en français et en anglais. Entre folk, rock et blues, elle canalise des émotions brutes dans des chansons finement construites. Lauréate des prix Jeune artiste de l’année et Artiste de la relève aux Prix de la musique folk canadienne 2024, elle s’impose rapidement. À 21 ans, elle a déjà joué dans plusieurs festivals et sortira To Be Clear le 4 octobre 2024.

To celebrate the deluxe release of his latest album It’s Lovely To Have You Here, Kim Churchill is hitting the road across Canada to play in some of his favorite corners of the country. A staple of the Australian and international folk/blues scene, he continues to captivate audiences around the world with his laid-back acoustic sound. Originally from the coastal town of Merimbula, Australia, Kim brings over a decade of experience in the music industry. He was named Australia’s National Young Folk Artist of the Year and nominated for Roots Act of the Year at the National Live Music Awards. Traveling the world in his trusty van(s), Kim delivers energetic and heartfelt performances filled with deep, thoughtful songs. Performing as a one-man band, he electrifies crowds with engaging storytelling, soaring guitar work, and harmonica-fueled grooves.
Opening act – Mia Kelly
Mia Kelly, emerging folk artist from Gatineau, blends French and English songwriting with a distinctive mix of folk, rock, and blues. Her intimate and semi-fictional storytelling showcases raw emotion and crafted lyricism. Winner of the 2024 Canadian Folk Music Awards for Young Performer and New/Emerging Artist, she is rapidly gaining recognition. At 21, she has performed at major festivals in Canada and abroad and will release her album To Be Clear on October 4, 2024.
