Francos de Montréal : Calamine à la scène Desjardins

Calamine est une rappeuse queer, féministe et anti-capitaliste installée à Montréal. En 2021, elle remporte le prix Félix-Leclerc, est nommée Révélation Radio-Canada, arrive seconde au concours Les Francouvertes et son premier album Boulette Proof remporte le prix « Album hip-hop » au GAMIQ. Elle sort en 2022 son second long jeu LESBIENNE WOKE SUR L’AUTOTUNE, qui remporte également le prix « Album hip-hop » au GAMIQ, est nominée pour l’album rap de l’année à l’ADISQ, et dont la chanson éponyme se retrouve en lice pour le Prix collégial de la chanson de l’année 2023 ainsi que le Prix de la chanson SOCAN.
La rappeuse a performé dans des festivals aux quatre coins du Québec (Festival d’Été de Québec, les Francos de Montréal, le Festif! de Baie-St-Paul, La Noce de Chicoutimi, le Festivoix de Trois-Rivières, le Festival de musique émergente de Rouyn-Noranda) ainsi que dans quelques villes de France (Paris, Rennes, Bourges). Elle produit et réalise ses albums aux côtés du producteur Kethe Magane depuis 2018, et leur prochain long jeu DECROISSANCE PERSONNELLE est paru le 5 avril 2024. La formation produit aussi en 2020 et 2021 deux albums entraînants et décontractés avec le rappeur Sam Faye, sous le nom de Petite Papa.

Calamine is a queer, feminist, and anti-capitalist rapper based in Montreal. In 2021, she won the Félix-Leclerc Prize, was named Radio-Canada’s Revelation, came second in the Les Francouvertes competition, and her debut album Boulette Proof won the Album Hip-Hop award at the GAMIQ. In 2022, she released her second album LESBIENNE WOKE SUR L’AUTOTUNE, which also won the Album Hip-Hop award at the GAMIQ, was nominated for Rap Album of the Year at ADISQ, and its title track was in the running for the 2023 Prix Collégial de la Chanson de l’Année and the SOCAN Song Prize.
Calamine has performed at festivals across Quebec, including Festival d’Été de Québec, Les Francos de Montréal, Le Festif! in Baie-Saint-Paul, La Noce in Chicoutimi, Festivoix in Trois-Rivières, and Festival de Musique Émergente in Rouyn-Noranda, as well as in a few cities in France (Paris, Rennes, and Bourges). Since 2018, she has been producing and working on her albums alongside producer Kethe Magane, and their next album, DECROISSANCE PERSONNELLE, was released on April 5, 2024. Additionally, in 2020 and 2021, they collaborated with rapper Sam Faye under the name Petite Papa, releasing two upbeat and laid-back albums.
