FrancBâtards au Festival Nuits d’Afrique

Thu 21 Jul 2022 • 06:00 pm Funk / Reggae / Roots Reggae / Ska
Scène TD-Radio-Canada - Montréal Gratuit
· by Rédaction PAN M 360

The Francbâtards’ music is “part of the roots and reggae scene, organic and alterglobalist, delivered in several languages, especially the language of the heart and soul,” (Daily Rock, 2020, about their album Karné). Reminiscent of the boisterous era of the Colocs, Loco Locass and La Chango Family, the Francbâtards interweave the rich rhythms from French-speaking countries throughout the world, including Québec, Réunion, France and Mauritius. Using ska, reggae, rap, world, funk and punk, the band shakes things up with a kind of joyful madness, getting their listeners moving and thinking by showing them the beauty of diversity in a brilliant, festive and uncomplicated way.
