Sun 10 Aug 2025 • 08:30 pm Moyen-Orient / Levant / Maghreb / percussions / South-West Asian
Quai de l’Horloge - Montréal Gratuit
· by Rédaction PAN M 360

A luminous finale created for Orientalys’ 15th anniversary, Caravan of the Orient invites you into one last vibrant breath; a collective celebration of Eastern cultures in all their richness and diversity. In an atmosphere of wonder and effervescence, the audience embarks on a full sensory journey, where traditions unfold like poetic stopovers along today’s Silk Road.
Each performance becomes a fragment of history, a pulse from distant horizons: the spiritual dances of Thailand, the refined gestures of imperial China, the energetic dabke of the Levant, the earthy sounds of Mongolia, and the entrancing rhythms of Sudan, Mauritania, and Iraq. From one scene to the next, the stage glows with the colors of Palestine, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan, and Morocco; all flowing together in a mesmerizing rhythm.
Each culture, unique and precious, reveals the essence of its art through short, powerful tableaux, bridging ancient gestures and contemporary reinvention. Music meets song, percussion awakens the body, and dance steps become a universal language.
Caravan of the Orient is a living tribute to the cultures of the East; a celebration of dialogue between peoples, and an invitation to connect through art in all its shared beauty.
