Festival Orientalys : Azzedine El Maghrabi au Quai de l’Horloge

Sat 09 Aug 2025 • 09:00 pm arabo-andalou / Maghrebi / North African traditional music
Quai de l’Horloge - Montréal Gratuit
· by Rédaction PAN M 360

Specializing in traditional Maghrebian music, particularly chaâbi, Azzedine El Maghrabi blends virtuosity and emotion in compositions where each note seems to call up memories of a country, a love, a vanished sun. This master of the Oriental lute, of Algerian origin, makes the strings of the oud vibrate as one tells an ancient story by the fireside.
For years, he has been tracing a sensitive trail between improvisation and heritage, carried by titles that have become must-haves for lovers of the Maghreb repertoire. On stage, he doesn’t play, he dialogues with his instrument. He listens to it. He lets it speak.
For one evening, Azzedine offers us a suspended moment, between Andalusian refinement and popular élan. An ode to the oud, to memory, and to the sweetness of Algeria.

CE SPECTACLE EST GRATUIT!
