Festival Orientalys : Abdel Kadiri au Quai de l’Horloge

Sun 16 Aug 2026 • 08:30 pm Afro House / Maghrebi
Quai de l’Horloge - Montréal Gratuit
· by Rédaction PAN M 360

Darija meets House, and from that collision a world all its own is born. With Abdel Kadiri, the Moroccan language slips into electronic bass lines as if it had always belonged there, between heritage and modern pulse. From Kameleon to his latest tracks, Cannibale and Zin zin, the artist shapes a sonic identity where Moroccan roots converse with electronic rhythms, never losing their essence. At his side for nearly eight years, keyboardist and arranger Rachid Idjedaini extends this alchemy through a partnership that has taken them from Montreal to Quebec City, all the way to Toronto, New York, and Washington. Together, they celebrate raï and the music of the Maghreb in all its richness, giving the party a new accent: electric, dialectal, resolutely turned toward tomorrow.
