S’appuyant sur plus de cinq générations de tradition familiale, le son jarocho de Los Vega, dont le groupe est un authentique pilier, propose une incursion dans le riche héritage ancestral de Veracruz. Chaque concert est une fête populaire vibrante, un fandango chaleureux rythmé par les claquements de talon propres au zapateado et porté par les jaranas, requintos et les percussions. Le groupe qui s’est produit sur de nombreuses scènes prestigieuses, notamment au Carnegie Hall sous la direction de Philip Glass, a également participé à la bande originale du film Frida, récompensé par l’Oscar de la meilleure musique originale.
Drawing on family traditions spanning five generations, Los Vega’s son jarocho, for which the band is a true standard-bearer, welcomes us into the rich ancestral heritage of Veracruz. Each concert is like a vibrant fiesta, a fandango carried by percussions, jaranas and requintos, and punctuated by percussive zapateado dance steps. Not only has Los Vega performed on many prestigious stages, including Carnegie Hall under the direction of Philip Glass, the group also contributed to the soundtrack of the film Frida, which won the Oscar for Best Original Score.
