Le concert s’ouvre avec l’énergie et la sensibilité de jeunes chefs stagiaires, qui dirigent trois ouvertures aussi contrastées que captivantes, signées Mozart, Beethoven et Fanny Mendelssohn. Puis, le violon de Kerson Leong se fait voix dans la tendre Romance en fa majeur de Beethoven. En seconde partie, place à la grandeur lyrique de Brahms avec sa Sérénade no 1 — une œuvre lumineuse, généreuse et profondément humaine.
This concert is an invitation to journey through romantic fervor and classical daring, carried by the elegance of Les Violons du Roy.
It opens with the energy and sensitivity of young apprentice conductors, who lead three overtures as contrasting as they are captivating—by Mozart, Beethoven, and Fanny Mendelssohn. Then, Kerson Leong’s violin becomes a voice in Beethoven’s tender Romance in F major. In the second half, the stage is set for the lyrical grandeur of Brahms, with his Serenade No. 1—a luminous, generous, and deeply human work.
