Festival International Bach Montréal 2026 : Paul Lay Trio, jazz – Bach’s Groove au Studio TD

Tue 02 Dec 2025 • 07:30 pm Baroque / Jazz Fusion
Le Studio TD - Montréal De 45$ à 70$
· by Rédaction PAN M 360

The jazz trio pays tribute to the composer in a vibrant concert where swing and poetry echo one another. The trio revisits some of the master’s iconic works—preludes, fugues, and radiant chorales such as Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring—blending them with their own compositions and Oscar Peterson’s rarely performed Bach Suite.
Balancing virtuosity and contrast, Paul Lay invites us to rediscover Bach as you’ve never heard him before.
“Paul Lay is part of that transformative generation that grew up with one foot in classical music and the other in jazz, and understands the inherent truth of both traditions.” – Laurent de Wilde
