An epilogue follows the final chapter of a story. Rather than concluding the story once and for all, the epilogue hints at what the future might hold for the characters. In the wake of his unprecedented worldwide success, rave reviews and sold-out tours, Dean continues to write and perform his songs with vulnerability, intensity and enthusiasm. As a result, The Epilogue represents both the culmination of an incredible journey so far, and a harbinger of what he may achieve in the near future. “My first album was pretty raw,” says Lewis. “For the second, I was a little more cautious and drawn towards pop, but the songs were meaningful to me. On this record, I went back to being rawer and more acoustic. I wanted to get back to that simplicity. I knew what I wanted to hear, so I embraced what made the first album special.
